What is Human Trafficking?

Human trafficking is a situation in which a person is made to work or engage in commercial sex through the use of force, fraud or coercion. This includes work that may be considered illegal, such as: begging, selling drugs or stolen goods, or engaging in sex work.

If you are being forced to sell sex or feel like you cannot leave your job, you may be experiencing human trafficking. If you are under the age of 18 and engaging in commercial sex, you are experiencing human trafficking regardless if force, fraud, or coercion is also taking place.
